Bollywood-Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra used to add fairness cream at some time. In a new profile, Priyanka Chopra told how simple it is for an Indian actor to advertise fairness cream. Priyanka Chopra has spoken openly about this in her launch book ‘Unfinished’.
Priyanka Chopra wrote, “Enduring skin lightening is common in South Asia. The industry is so big that everyone is doing it. Rather, it is still considered right today, when a female actor does it, but it is a wrong thing. It was wrong for me to do this as well. A little girl who used to apply talcum powder on her face, because I believed that having dark skin is not a good thing. ”
In 2015, Priyanka Chopra decided to distance herself from such products. In an interview with Barkha Dutt, Priyanka Chopra said that I felt very bad about it, so I stopped advertising Fairness Cream. All my siblings were white-faced. I was only dark, because my father was dark. Just for fun, my Punjabi family used to call me Kali, Kali, Kali. At the age of 13, I wanted to apply fairness cream and wanted to get rid of my darkness.
